The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program.
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program, or CELPIP, is an English language assessment tool which measures listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. The CELPIP – General evaluates test taker’s English listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills and is officially designated for permanent residence applications by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and is also accepted for professional designations.
What is the difference between the CELPIP - General and CELPIP - General LS?
There are two types of CELPIP tests to choose from. Make sure to confirm which version of the test you are required to take
The CELPIP – General Test is used for Permanent Residency applications and Skilled Immigrants (Express Entry).
The CELIP – General LS Test is not accepted for Express Entry. However, the CELPIP – General LS Test is approved for Canadian Citizenship applications.
CELPIP - General LS Test
Evaluates test taker’s English speaking, and listening skills and is used for citizenship applications and professional designation.
