About the Language:
A descendant of the Latin language of the Roman Empire, French is spoken by around 136 million people around the world. Known as a Romance Language, French is an official language in 29 countries (called ‘The Francophone’) and also of all United Nations agencies. Furthermore, it is also one of the official languages of Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Canada. It is also the fourth most spoken language in the United States after English, Spanish and Chinese.
Why learn French?
Knowing French will allow you not only to function but to compete effectively in the global economy of the future. French is ranked the 2nd most influential language in the world. It is the lingua franca of culture, including art, cuisine, dance, and fashion. Learning French will increase your job opportunities and salary potential. LEVELS
LEVEL A1:
The first level is the basic course for a beginner who has never had any prior basic knowledge of French; Students will be introduced to basic vocabulary and grammar along with the practice of elementary conversation and dialogue patterns and acquire the use of everyday expressions and basic phrases.
LEVEL A2:
In the second level, the student acquires the ability to answer and ask simple questions and to produce simple sentences. At this level, the learners can communicate using elementary conversation and dialogues on simple and routine themes. It introduces more grammar concepts and broadens their vocabulary.
LEVEL B1:
The Students at this level can link sentences; write short descriptive or factual texts, ability to deal with precise information on work-related topics. You will be able to produce simple sentences which are familiar or of personal interest, and describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
LEVEL B2:
At this level, the student reaches the height of spontaneity with regular interaction in a variety of topics and expands on them with relative ease. Students’ vocabulary, grammar, and spelling are generally appropriate and can understand the main ideas of a complex text on both concrete and abstract topics and produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint.
C1:
Having completed this level successfully, a student can express ideas, and write different types of texts to communicate complex ideas in a variety effectively in all situations, true or hypothetical. A student can take excellent control of the language and interact with clear and well-constructed sentences. The person can demonstrate mastery of grammar and structure and draws upon a wide vocabulary. C2:
At this level, the candidate can work in all areas of professional activities. You will be able to understand with ease virtually everything heard or read, summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation, express yourself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, and differentiate finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.

It is firmly established in Europe, North America and the Caribbean, Africa and the Mediterranean. It is shared by the 57 member states and governments and 20 observers of the International Organisation of Francophonie (IOF).
A language of international institutions
French is the official language of the United Nations (UN) and many UN bodies. It is a working language of the European Union and other regional organisations, such as the African Union. It is also one of the two official languages of the Olympic Games.
A language learnt worldwide
French is taught as a foreign language in almost every national education system. It is the most widely learnt language after English. It is taught by half a million teachers to 120 million pupils.
A language of the international economy
The French economy is the fifth largest in the world. The French-speaking world accounts for 15% of global wealth and 12% of international trade.
Is it easy to learn French?
French is relatively easy to learn but it does take some time and effort. As French is closely related to English, We have to agree with the Foreign Language Institute that says that French belongs to the easiest group of languages to learn for English speakers. Having so much common vocabulary helps a lot!
